Overview: We created a pilot for a contactless payment experience that enabled people to use the Sam’s Club app on their phones to pay at fuel stations, helping save time and hassle. The feature was especially loved by people in cold weather, reducing the time they spent outside at the fuel pump. Used by hundreds of thousands of people in millions of transactions, the feature achieved the highest Net Promoted Score of any Sam’s Club experience. It was ultimately rolled out to more than 500 brick and mortar locations.
